I really think getting rid of the CC CMA is probably the way to go. It’s work we really don’t have the resources for right now, but at the Constitutional Convention people wanted to keep it around.

My guess: CC CMA will not be back for 2026. We have to get the new cchits site going. I’ve got to say I’m skeptical. Then, we have to get people to use it. I’m very skeptical. Then, we have to get someone to organize awards around that new site. I hope someone proves me wrong, but frankly, I think CC CMA is dead. I don’t think it’s ever coming back. But, I guess we’ll reassess things after Netlabel Week 2025. Maybe that will bring more folks into the fold.
